The best way to learn about Sheridan and all we have to offer is to visit.
We hope you will join us for one or more of the events below. If you have any questions, please contact Director of Admissions Margie Gottfried.
Weekly Information Sessions/Tours
Offered weekly from October – December
9:00 am – 11:00 am
What do you want to learn about Sheridan? That’s the first question you will be asked when you join our Head of School, Jessica Donovan, at one of our information sessions. You will also have the opportunity to chat with our Lower and Middle School Heads, with students and with faculty members. Afterwards, a member of the Admissions team will give you a comprehensive tour of the school. Adults only (infants are always welcome)
Experience Sheridan with Your Child
The following events are designed to give both you and your child a chance to experience Sheridan and our intentional way of teaching firsthand.
Grades K – 3
Sunday, November 3, 2019 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Experience the joy Sheridan faculty bring to our classrooms as you observe them engaging your child in a mini-lesson. Following the classroom experience, our Middle School students will speak with you about Sheridan while we entertain your child.
Monday, November 18, 2019 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Enjoy a pizza dinner and learn more about Sheridan from our Middle School students. After dinner, you will join our faculty as they teach your children — you could be led through an experiment in science, asked to solve a math problem or treated to a song in music class!
Take a Parents-Only Class
Grades K-3 PARENTS ONLY
Tuesday, December 3, 2019 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Take this opportunity to experience our classrooms as our students do and sample our constructivist approach to learning. You will participate in a Morning Meeting and engage in mini lessons in math, language arts and social studies.
Attend Our Open House
Monday, January 11th 8:45am – 11:00am
If you haven’t had a chance to visit Sheridan, this event is for you. You will hear from our Head of School, the leaders of our Academic team, and a student panel. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a tour as a Parent Ambassador leads you through our classrooms.
