Sheridan’s Instrumental Program offers a wide range of musical instruments, taught at various levels appropriate for its students. The program includes private individual lessons (payments required; noted with a $ below) and group lessons (free of charge). Lessons start on Monday, September 24. The deadline to sign up for the Instrumental Program is September 18. Below you will find the offerings available for each grade:

Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Kindergarteners and 1st Graders have the chance to begin their musical pursuits through private lessons. Please look below to find available lessons in both guitar and piano:

2nd & 3rd Grade

Students in Grades 2-3 can sign up for private guitar and piano lessons. They can additionally begin the transition to a few other instruments, which are group lessons that are free of charge. Below are the available lessons for 2nd and 3rd Graders:

4th Grade

Students in 4th Grade can sign up for private guitar and piano lessons. They can additionally sign up for all other instruments, which will be group lessons that are free of charge. 4th graders do not participate in the Ensemble Program. Below are the available lessons for 4th Graders:

5th – 8th Grade

After school Music students in Grades 5-8 participate in our Ensemble Program, which features many different instruments. Students in Ensemble must participate in one of band ensemble, string ensemble, guitar ensemble or choir depending on their instrument choice. These Ensemble group lessons will all take place on Mondays from 3:45-4:45 p.m. before the individual lessons can begin. Mondays are a dedicated instrumental day to avoid conflict with Sheridan’s Athletic Program. Students in Grades 5-8 can additionally sign up for private guitar and piano lessons. They can also sign up for drum, ukulele, and guitar, which are all group lessons that are free of charge and separate from the Ensemble Program.
